WHY WE DON'T SELL BABY PUPPIES

Some are a bit stunned to find we won't sell a puppy under 4.5 months of age. We have been working with this breed for over fifty years and the decision not to run with the mob and sell baby puppies was taken for the sake of the breed, the dog, and the buyer. 2009-09-25 more ...

DOGS AT STUD & SEMEN AVAILABLE

Some Erinveine males have had semen banked, details can be found on this link or by checking individual biography pages. As from this month our dogs are not generally available at stud. It is not our intention to encourage spasmodic breeding by people who do not have facilities to run on and prove the value of their own stud dog in constitution, condition or character. 2008-11-07 more ...

THE ERINVEINE CLUMBER SPANIELS

Published In Who's Who In The Australian Dog World 1996 The Clumber Spaniel is one of the truly ancient breeds of the dog world. The heavy white spaniel has always been a feature of the English landscape, much more so than in France or Spain which have both been claimed to be homelands of this gentle and caring dog. The Clumber takes his name from the Duke of Newcastle's Sherwood Forest country seat of Clumber - the name being at least as old as the Doomsday Book. Erinveine (pronounced ERIN-VEEN) was first registered as a dog prefix in, I think, 1946 by David Irving. It is in fact an ancient spelling of the surname Irving. David's first love was Irish Setters, a breed with which he enjoyed enormous success as the well known Ch Erinveine Daybreak CD can attest to. Daybreak, a very successful show dog also had the honour of being the first homebred obedience titled Irish. David had a great love of dogs and owned many breeds in his forty years of canine involvement. Breeds such as Labradors, Irish Water Spaniels, English Springers and even his own Welsh Corgi (Pembrokes) separate from his wife's famous Rrac kennel (then a shared prefix with her aunt, but now Barbara is breeding under her own `Brac' prefix). 1995-12-12 more ...
